With Marseille soap

When we talk about cleaning fabrics and, in particular, elements such as the mattress, the beloved old Marseille soap always comes to our aid, being one of the most recommended solutions.

All you have to do is dampen the cloth and rub the Marseille soap bar vigorously until a good amount of foam forms.

Next, place the cloth over the lid and tie it around the handle with the elastic band. Grab the lid and rub the entire surface of the mattress.

Repeat the same process with the rinsed cloth and let the mattress dry. After this, it will be in perfect condition!

Vinegar

A trick you can use when there are particularly difficult stains or when you have pets that sleep on the mattress is vinegar .

Vinegar is very effective against stubborn dirt and odors, so it’s great for deep cleaning your mattress using the lid method!

You simply have to moisten the cloth in a container with water and a cup of vinegar, wring it lightly and follow the same process described above with the lid.

Rinse and wipe again to remove some of the water. And ready!

Sodium bicarbonate

If vinegar is one of the most suitable remedies to eliminate bad odors from the mattress, baking soda is the right solution when you want to whiten and shine it.

In this case, it is also very easy to use with the lid method, which will make cleaning easy and effortless.

Dampen the cloth and sprinkle a good amount of baking soda on it, until it adheres well. Then, tie the cloth to the lid and rub vigorously all over the mattress.

Let it sit until it dries, then vacuum up the residue and you will immediately notice that the mattress is whiter and cleaner.

Goodbye to stains

Not only is the lid method great for cleaning your entire mattress, it’s also great for saying goodbye to stains without needing to wash the entire mattress.

In this case, you must follow the procedures described above and choose the remedy you prefer.

Before rubbing with the lid, moisten the area with the stain with hydrogen peroxide to make everything faster and more effective.

Let it air dry and the stains will be just a memory.
