Quince: the forgotten fruit that eliminates wrinkles, lowers cholesterol and makes you go to the toilet

Quince  is the fruit of the quince tree  , a tree native to Asia that also grows in other parts of the world, including Italy. Our ancestors loved it, but today quince is almost forgotten.With yellow skin and a very pleasant aroma,  quince  is mainly used for the preparation of jams, including the famous  quince jam  .Quinces are low in calories, although tasty, and are rich in vitamins A, C and group B, as well as minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, iron, calcium and sodium. It also contains fiber, pectins and tannins.

Being rich in pectins, quinces are particularly useful for those who suffer from  high cholesterol  . Potassium, on the other hand, helps regulate blood pressure and  prevent hypertension  .

 

 

This excellent fruit also has an astringent effect, due to the tannins, and that is why it is useful in cases of diarrhea.
