First, always check the washing label. If your comforter is made from natural fibers, it is best to hand wash or take it to a laundromat. For synthetic fiber comforters, the same recommendations apply.

If the washing machine is not an option, your bathroom becomes your ally. Here’s a simple method: soak your comforter in a bathtub filled with hot water with two tablespoons of baking soda, a tablespoon of vinegar and a few pieces of Marseille soap. Be sure to rinse the comforter well to avoid product residue.
