First, fill the pot or pan with hot water and add some coarse salt. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes to allow the salt to dissolve and soften the embedded dirt. Salt is an excellent natural abrasive that helps remove dirt effectively without scratching the surface of your pot or pan.

After letting the salt sit for a few minutes, pour a little white vinegar into the pot or pan. The acid in the vinegar reacts and dissolves the remaining dirt, making it much easier to remove. Make sure to cover the entire surface of the pot or pan with the vinegar and let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Once the mixture has done its job, empty the pot or pan and gently scrub the surface with a scouring pad. This helps remove embedded dirt. Finally, wash the pot or pan with hot water and dish soap to remove any traces of salt and vinegar.
