The music star, widowed since the death of her husband Alain-Philippe Malagnac during a fire in 2000 in Saint-Étienne-du-Grès, chose this same isolated house to spend her retirement.

“AT THE TIME, WE ONLY SWORE BY SAINT-TROPEZ”
Very attracted to Provence, Amanda Lear decided to settle there for around forty years now. She had literally fallen for this house located in an isolated village. However, it was not necessarily the destination she favored from the start. “At the time, we only swore by Saint-Tropez. I almost bought Brigitte Bardot’s house there who had changed her mind at the last moment,” she told Le Parisien in 2020.

She does not regret her choice. The house she finally bought, and where she stayed, exudes Provence. “After a first house in Saint-Rémy, which she only kept for 'two or three years', she anchored herself in the heart of this village,” the Parisian also explained.
