Landry Nguemo dies in car accident
The accident apparently occurred a few kilometers from Yaoundé. Landry Nguemo's vehicle allegedly hit a sand truck. He and his driver died instantly. Landry Nguemo was an emblematic figure in Cameroon. He was also a finalist in the African Cup in 2008 with his national team. In 2013, he won the Coupe de France with the Girondins de Bordeaux. In 2018, the player finally retired after spending a few months with the Norwegian team. At the end of his career, he returned to Nancy to coach youth categories. Many tributes have been paid following his death.
