Over time, Jacques Dutronc became less rigid about the organization, a development that Thomas Dutronc notes in comparison with his youthful years. “However, he told me that at 20, 25 years old, there were a meter high of brothels of all kinds in his room…”, Thomas Dutronc thus retraces the different moments of his father’s youth. “I still saw him having up to 53 cats in Corsica. We could no longer eat outside, the cats were jumping on the table, they were everywhere,” says Thomas Dutronc, highlighting his father’s love for felines. The cats disrupted family life, as Thomas Dutronc describes: “We slept poorly, constantly being woken up by these cats who spent the night fighting and howling. And then, since they weren’t all operated on, it stank badly around the house.”

FRANÇOISE HARDY’S FIGHT AGAINST CANCER
Thomas Dutronc also expressed his concern about the state of health of Françoise Hardy, his mother, highlighting the challenges she is currently facing. Since 2004, Françoise Hardy has been battling cancer of the lymphatic system, and since 2019, she has also been battling cancer of the pharynx, battles that Thomas Dutronc highlights. “The problem lies in the fact that health professionals do not take into account adverse effects”, Jacques Dutronc expresses his frustration with the medical treatment of Françoise Hardy, a vision shared by Thomas.
