It is not uncommon to read in the press or see a report on nannies who have committed acts of violence or worse with children in their care. Such stories are the dread of parents who often have no choice but to trust the person they find best.
If these stories always take place far from home, we are far from imagining that this could happen to us. That's exactly what Whitney thought: the chance of encountering an abusive nanny was slim to none. But did she have a choice? Not really.
THE ENCOUNTER

THE END OF MATERNITY LEAVE
