Following the announcement of the death of Shannen Doherty this Sunday, July 14 at the age of 53, Jason Priestley, her playing partner in Beverly Hills 90210, wanted to pay tribute to her on his Instagram account.
After years of fierce battle with cancer, Shannen Doherty died this Saturday, July 13 at the age of 53. “It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the death of actress Shannen Doherty,” said Leslie Sloane, the actress’s longtime press secretary to People magazine, this Sunday, July 14. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of battling the disease.” A sad announcement which sparked numerous reactions from his former partners on screen.
After Brian Kraus and Alyssa Milano, Jason Priestley paid tribute to the actress with whom he shared the screen in the series Beverly Hills 90210, on his Instagram account. “Shocked and sad to learn of the passing of my friend Shannen. She was a force of nature and I will miss her,” he wrote under a photo in which he appears alongside his friend from the time of the series. The actor then had a thought for his family. “I send love and light to his family during this dark time,” he concluded.
