An attitude which has called attention to how serious the situation within the country is. Many observers have noted this contrast between the threat hovering over France and the considered casual attitude of the Prime Minister at the voting booth.

GABRIEL ATTAL SURE OF HIS VICTORY

A very broad smile which was probably explained by his certainty of being renewed against his opponent of the day from the New Popular Front. Finally, if Gabriel Attal presented his resignation to Emmanuel Macron a few hours after the second round of the legislative elections, the President asked him to remain Prime Minister “for the moment” in order to “ensure the stability of the country”.

It was a happy and smiling Prime Minister who went to vote this Sunday July 7 for the second round of the legislative elections. Gabriel Attal seemed very relaxed before entering his voting booth. However, shortly after the results, the current Prime Minister lost his smile and submitted his resignation to Emmanuel Macron.

GABRIEL ATTAL, A VERY EXPERIENCED YOUNG MINISTER

He has become a familiar face to the French. Despite his young age, Gabriel Attal is now a veteran in French politics. Present alongside Emmanuel Macron since his first campaign in 2017, the young wolf has only climbed the ranks since. Before reaching the highest summit of the State, he first started by being government spokesperson, then Minister of the Budget and finally Minister of National Education.
GABRIEL ATTAL, AN EXPRESS PRIME MINISTER?

A meteoric and linear rise which will unfortunately perhaps have to be interrupted after the choice of the President of the Republic to dissolve the National Assembly. The legislative elections could possibly hamper this taking of office in January 2024. It is in fact customary for the Prime Minister to resign in the event of his party's defeat at the polls.

THE PRESIDENTIAL MAJORITY LAGGING AROUND

The strong distrust of the French who placed the National Rally at the head of the elections during the first round with 33% is a sign of a desire for change. Facing the party led by Jordan Bardella, we find the entire left which has managed to find common ground to unite. During the first round, the New Popular Front received 29% of the votes. The party led by Emmanuel Macron found itself lagging behind. A scathing message sent to the presidential majority that the Prime Minister heard.

GABRIEL ATTAL ALL SMILE WHEN GOING TO VOTE

Before being faced with this bad news, Gabriel Attal went to vote with a smile in his polling station in Hauts-de-Seine. An attitude that stood out. Many observers have noted this contrast between the threat hovering over France and the considered casual attitude of the Prime Minister at the voting booth. A very broad smile which was probably explained by his certainty of being renewed against his opponent of the day, from the New Popular Front.
