It was this Tuesday, August 22 around 3 p.m. that the young woman who was only 31 years old lost her life on a road near Toronto in eastern Canada. According to local authorities, the skater's car was stopped in the middle of a line of vehicles, stopped by a work zone in the canton of Melanchton.
A truck then appeared and hit seven vehicles head-on. The mother did not survive the particularly violent shock. Inside the passenger compartment, she was accompanied by four people including her 10-month-old son.

It must be said that the young woman was a figure in her country. After winning a silver medal at the World Junior Championships in 2010, she represented Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. She was also a three-time bronze medalist at the national level.
Alexandra Paul has spent most of her career as a duo with her partner Mitchell Islam. The couple married in September 2021. A little over a year later, the young woman gave birth to her son Charles.
