“I didn’t get drunk”: JoeyStarr remembers his “poor” dinner at the Élysée and denies a big rumor on this subject

Guest of the Legend show presented by Guillaume Pley on Youtube, JoeyStarr remembered his dinner with François Hollande and Julie Gayet at the Élysée.

This Monday, June 3, TF1 will broadcast two new episodes of the series The Replacement, hosted by JoeyStarr. After working in the Paris region, Professor Nicolas Valeyre now teaches in a Bordeaux vocational high school run by Madame Vidal, played by Clémentine Célarié. Between the former rapper and the actress, the flow immediately passed. "I knew her but we had never worked together. It was very pleasant. Having her as a partner lifted my heart. I am very happy with what we did. During filming, even if we had long days, we enjoyed getting together in the evening,” he told Télé-Loisirs.

On the occasion of the return of the series The Replacement on screen, JoeyStarr answered questions from Guillaume Pley in the show Legend available on YouTube. During this interview, the former member of the NTM group reacted to several rumors circulating about him, including one which claims that he "got drunk" with François Hollande, at the Élysée. Although he did have dinner with François Hollande at the presidential palace, Didier Morville, his real name, assures that he did not abuse alcohol that evening and even reveals that the meal served to him was not to his taste. "I went to the Élysée, I was invited by Dominique Besnehard and Julie Gayet because I had filmed Ten Percent. We were in a formal affair, we actually had dinner together but the meal was poor", he declares.

“We eat better at the National Assembly than at the Élysée,” continues JoeyStarr, who presented the play Éloquence at the Assembly under the gold of the Palais Bourbon, in 2018. “At the National Assembly, the food and the buffet was much better But for a convict it's funny because you don't normally have access to this kind of place. It's a bit like the Heritage Days that I do alone. "At the time, I was received by François de Rugy, who liked the show I was offering," he explains. And to conclude about his dinner at the Élysée: "I didn't get drunk with Hollande, no, no."
