Ingredients: For the Cake:

1 box of chocolate cake mix (or homemade chocolate cake recipe)
3 large eggs
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Cream Filling:

2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Glaze:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp butter
Directions:

Prepare the Cake:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes or until the batter is smooth.
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the cakes to cool completely in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Make the Cream Filling:

In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue whipping until stiff peaks form. This will be your creamy filling.
Assemble the Cake:

Once the cakes have cooled, slice each one in half horizontally to create 4 layers of cake.
Spread a generous amount of the whipped cream filling between each layer of cake.
Prepare the Glaze:

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until smooth and glossy. Let the glaze cool for a few minutes.
Glaze the Cake:

Pour the chocolate glaze over the assembled cake, spreading it evenly over the top and sides.
Allow the glaze to set before serving.
