Decadent Tiramisu Truffles: Bite-Sized Indulgence for Any Occasion

Introduction
Tiramisu truffles are a delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining the rich flavors of coffee, cocoa, and mascarpone into elegant, bite-sized treats. Perfect for every occasion—whether you're hosting a party, celebrating a milestone, or simply craving a sweet escape—these truffles offer a satisfying balance of indulgence and simplicity. The best part? They’re easy to make, require no baking, and are guaranteed to impress with their luscious texture and irresistible flavor.

Ingredients:
1 cup (250g) mascarpone cheese, softened
2 cups (200g) crushed ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
1/2 cup (120ml) espresso or strong brewed coffee, cooled
1/4 cup (30g) powdered sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional, for adults)
1/2 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
1/2 cup (80g) melted dark chocolate (optional for coating)
Directions:
Prepare the Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the softened mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Add the Flavors:
Gradually add the cooled espresso (and coffee liqueur, if using) to the mixture, ensuring the liquid is fully incorporated. The mixture should be smooth but not overly runny.

Incorporate the Biscuits:
Fold the crushed ladyfinger biscuits into the mascarpone mixture. Stir well until a soft, moldable dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more biscuit crumbs.

Shape the Truffles:
Scoop small portions of the dough (about 1 tablespoon) and roll them between your palms to form bite-sized balls. Place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.

Chill:
Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Finish with Cocoa or Chocolate:
Roll the chilled truffles in unsweetened cocoa powder for a classic finish. For an extra decadent touch, dip the truffles in melted dark chocolate and allow them to set before serving.

Serving and Storage Tips:
Serving: Serve the tiramisu truffles chilled for the best texture and flavor. Dust them with a little extra cocoa powder just before serving for a professional touch.
Storage: Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can also freeze them for up to a month—simply let them thaw for a few minutes before serving.
