Ingredients:

16 large white button or cremini mushrooms
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a little kick)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons melted butter
Fresh parsley or a sprinkle of Parmesan for garnish
Directions:

Prep the Mushrooms:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Clean the mushrooms by wiping them gently with a damp paper towel. Remove the stems carefully and set them aside. Place the mushroom caps hollow side up on a baking sheet.
Prepare the Filling:

Finely chop the mushroom stems. In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil and sauté the chopped stems, onions, and garlic for 3–4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
Remove from heat and stir in the breadcrumbs, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Stuff the Mushrooms:

Fill each mushroom cap generously with the prepared stuffing, pressing lightly to pack the filling. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the stuffed mushrooms to enhance their golden color while baking.
Bake to Perfection:

Bake the mushrooms for 18–20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mushrooms are tender.
Garnish and Serve:

Remove the mushrooms from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley or an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for added flavor and presentation. Serve warm and enjoy!
Serving and Storage Tips:

Serving: These stuffed mushrooms are best served warm and fresh out of the oven. Pair them with a holiday cocktail or as part of a larger appetizer spread.
Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in the oven at 350°F for about 5–7 minutes to maintain their crispy texture. Avoid using the microwave, as it may make the mushrooms soggy.
