Introduction
Hosting a birthday party is always exciting, but finding the perfect recipe that everyone will love can be a challenge. When I made these delicious treats for my son's birthday, I quickly realized I hadn’t made enough! These mouthwatering bites were a hit with kids and adults alike. Easy to prepare and absolutely irresistible, they’re perfect for any celebration. Here’s how you can create these crowd-pleasers for your next gathering.

Ingredients
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips (or your preferred mix-ins: sprinkles, nuts, etc.)
Directions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a separate large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy using a hand or stand mixer.
Add Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
Add Mix-ins: Fold in chocolate chips (or your preferred add-ins) until evenly distributed.
Shape the Dough: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Serving and Storage Tips
Serving: These treats are best served slightly warm with a glass of milk or a scoop of ice cream.
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. To keep them soft, add a slice of bread to the container.
Freezing: You can freeze the dough balls before baking. Just place them on a tray, freeze until firm, and store them in a freezer bag for up to 3 months. Bake directly from frozen, adding 1-2 minutes to the baking time.
