Introduction
If you’ve ever reused a jar, you know how stubborn glue and adhesive residue can be. Whether you’re trying to repurpose glass jars for storage or crafting, removing glue marks can seem like a tedious task. But with the right techniques, you can quickly and effectively clean your jars without damaging the surface. Here's a quick guide to help you get those jars looking brand new!

Ingredients
Cooking oil or baby oil
Baking soda
Rubbing alcohol or acetone
Dish soap
Hot water
Cotton pads or a soft cloth
Instructions
Soak the Jar: Fill a bowl or sink with hot water and add a few drops of dish soap. Immerse the jar with the glue residue into the soapy water for about 10–15 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Use Oil: After soaking, pour a small amount of cooking or baby oil onto a cotton pad or cloth. Rub it directly onto the glue marks. The oil helps break down the sticky residue, making it easier to wipe away.

Scrub with Baking Soda: If the residue is still visible, make a paste using baking soda and a small amount of water. Apply the paste to the remaining glue marks and gently scrub with a soft cloth or sponge.

Rubbing Alcohol or Acetone: For more stubborn adhesive, dampen a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol or acetone and rub the affected area. Be sure to test this on a small, hidden part of the jar first to ensure it doesn’t damage the surface.

Wash the Jar: Once all the glue is removed, wash the jar with warm soapy water to get rid of any remaining oil or residue.

Dry the Jar: Pat the jar dry with a clean towel or let it air dry completely.

Serving and Storage Tips
For best results, always clean the jar thoroughly after removing glue marks to ensure there’s no lingering oil or chemical residue.
Store the jars in a cool, dry place to avoid any future glue issues.
