Ingredients
For the Ribs:
2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Honey Garlic Glaze:
½ cup honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp ginger, grated
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ribs
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and remove the silver skin from the back (if not already removed).
Rub the ribs with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder, ensuring even coverage.
Drizzle with olive oil and massage the seasoning into the meat.
Step 2: Slow Cook the Ribs
Wrap the ribs tightly in foil and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.
Step 3: Prepare the Honey Garlic Glaze
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
Mix the cornstarch with water, then slowly pour it into the glaze while stirring.
Let the sauce cook until thickened (about 2–3 minutes), then remove from heat.
Step 4: Glaze and Broil the Ribs
Remove the ribs from the oven and increase the temperature to 425°F (220°C).
Unwrap the ribs and brush them generously with the honey garlic glaze.
Place them back in the oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes, or until the glaze caramelizes. You can also broil for the last 2–3 minutes for extra stickiness.
Serving & Storage Tips
Serving: Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with extra glaze and a side of coleslaw, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes.
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating: Warm in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for 15 minutes or microwave in 30-second bursts.
