Introduction:
No kidding, I’ve eaten this four times in the last month! That’s how addictive and easy this chicken dish is. Whether you’re cooking for yourself or feeding a family, this recipe is quick, flavorful, and pairs well with just about anything—from rice and noodles to a crisp green salad. It’s saucy, savory, and slightly sweet with just enough garlic kick to keep you coming back for more. Best part? It all comes together in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Prep the Chicken:
Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Sear the Chicken:
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same pan, reduce heat to low and add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant (don’t let it burn!).
Add the Flavor Boosters:
Stir in soy sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Coat the Chicken:
Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over each piece, and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes to soak in all that flavor.
Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with chopped parsley or green onions if desired. Serve hot.
Serving and Storage Tips:
Serve with: Steamed rice, roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, or a fresh side salad.
To store: Let cool completely, then refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
To reheat: Warm in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water or microwave in 30-second intervals.
