Introduction
Aging is a natural part of life, but maintaining healthy, youthful skin doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. Collagen, the protein responsible for skin’s firmness and elasticity, decreases with age—leading to wrinkles and sagging. While there are many commercial anti-aging products on the market, natural remedies are gaining popularity for their safety, affordability, and effectiveness. One such powerful ingredient? Garlic. Rich in antioxidants and sulfur compounds, garlic has been shown to support collagen production and fight skin damage. This simple garlic-based remedy can be used as a topical treatment to revitalize skin—even for those in their 70s.
Ingredients
3–4 large garlic cloves (organic preferred)
2 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin for best quality)
1 teaspoon honey (raw and organic if possible)
1 vitamin E capsule (optional, for added nourishment)
Small glass jar or container with lid
Instructions
Prepare the Garlic:
Peel and finely crush the garlic cloves to release the beneficial allicin compound. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to activate its properties.
Mix the Ingredients:
In a clean bowl, combine the crushed garlic with olive oil and honey. If using, pierce the vitamin E capsule and squeeze its contents into the mixture.
Infuse:
Transfer the mixture into the glass jar and let it sit for at least 24 hours in a cool, dark place to allow the ingredients to infuse.
Strain and Store:
After infusion, strain the mixture to remove garlic solids. Store the oil blend in a sealed jar or bottle in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Application:
Before bed, cleanse your face thoroughly. Apply a small amount of the infused oil to the face, focusing on areas with wrinkles. Gently massage in circular motions. Leave it on overnight, or rinse off after 30 minutes if preferred.
Serving and Storage Tips
Portion Control: Use a small amount—just a few drops per application.
Storage: Keep refrigerated to maintain potency and prevent spoilage.
Shelf Life: Best used within 7 days. Make a fresh batch weekly for maximum effectiveness.
