Introduction
If you’ve been struggling with a persistent cough or chest congestion, you’re not alone. Mucus buildup in the lungs can result from colds, flu, allergies, or even air pollution. While over-the-counter medications can help, natural remedies often offer gentle yet effective relief without side effects. This simple, homemade remedy harnesses the power of natural ingredients to help clear your lungs and ease coughing—often within just three days.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated or chopped)
1 tablespoon turmeric powder or freshly grated turmeric
2 cups water
2 tablespoons raw honey
1 lemon (juiced)
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
2 cloves of garlic (optional, for extra potency)
Directions:
In a small pot, bring the water to a boil.
Add the ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon stick (if using). Lower the heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
Strain the liquid into a jar or cup.
Stir in the lemon juice and honey until fully dissolved.
For extra immune support, crush and add raw garlic after the tea cools (optional).
Serving and Storage Tips:
Serving: Drink 1/2 cup of the mixture warm, 2 to 3 times a day. Best taken in the morning and before bedtime.
Storage: Store any leftover remedy in a sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Gently reheat before serving, but avoid boiling to preserve the benefits of honey and lemon.
