Introduction: If you’re looking for a simple yet powerful drink to enhance your health, this turmeric wellness drink could be just what you need! With ingredients like fresh ginger, garlic, turmeric, and honey, it’s packed with anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidants. Whether you’re seeking a natural boost to your immune system or a soothing drink for your digestive health, this recipe is easy to make and offers a refreshing, nutritious alternative to sugary beverages.
Ingredients:
1 medium-sized onion
6-8 cloves of garlic
3 cm piece of fresh ginger
2 fresh lemons
2 tablespoons of turmeric (powdered or freshly grated)
1/8 teaspoon of black pepper
2 tablespoons of raw and organic honey (if possible)
1 liter of water
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Peel and chop the onion, garlic, and ginger into small pieces for easy blending and extraction of flavors. Squeeze the juice from the two lemons.
Boil the Water: Bring the 1 liter of water to a boil in a large pot or kettle.
Add the Ingredients: Once the water has boiled, reduce the heat to a simmer. Add the chopped onion, garlic, ginger, and turmeric to the water. Stir gently to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed.
Simmer and Steep: Allow the ingredients to simmer together for about 10-15 minutes. This will give the drink time to absorb all the flavors and health benefits from the garlic, ginger, turmeric, and onion.
Strain the Drink: Once the simmering process is complete, strain the mixture to remove the solids, leaving you with the infused liquid.
Add Honey and Lemon: Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the raw honey. Make sure the honey is fully dissolved to add natural sweetness and extra health benefits.
Taste and Adjust: Taste the drink and add more honey or lemon if you prefer a sweeter or more tart flavor.
Serving and Storage Tips:
