Ingredients
To prepare this therapeutic bath, you’ll need the following:
2–3 fresh rosemary sprigs or 2 tablespoons dried rosemary
1 cup Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate)
5–10 drops rosemary essential oil (optional but recommended)
A large pot of water (about 2 liters)
Optional: a few drops of lavender oil for added relaxation
Instructions
Prepare the Infusion: Bring the water to a boil in a large pot. Add the fresh or dried rosemary, reduce heat, and simmer for 15–20 minutes to allow the herbs to release their beneficial compounds.
Strain and Add to Bath: Strain the rosemary-infused water into your bathtub. Be careful as it will be hot—wait a few minutes for it to cool slightly before entering the bath.
Add Additional Ingredients: Stir in the Epsom salt and rosemary essential oil. If using lavender oil, add it now for an extra calming touch.
Soak and Relax: Soak your feet or your entire body (depending on the level of discomfort) in the bath for 20–30 minutes. Focus on breathing deeply and allowing your muscles to relax.
Rinse and Moisturize: After the bath, rinse your skin with lukewarm water and apply a natural moisturizer to lock in hydration.
Serving and Storage Tips
Serving (Use): For chronic discomfort, use this rosemary bath 2–3 times per week. For occasional soreness or stress, once a week may be enough.
Storage: The rosemary infusion can be made in advance and stored in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Warm it before use. However, it’s best when fresh.
