Introduction:

Digestive discomfort like bloating and heartburn can take a toll on your day, leaving you sluggish and irritable. Fortunately, certain natural ingredients have powerful antibacterial and soothing properties that can help ease these symptoms. This easy homemade remedy combines time-tested elements to support digestive health, combat harmful bacteria, and promote a calmer gut. Let’s get into how to make your own natural digestive tonic.

Ingredients:

1 cup warm water (not boiling)

1 tablespoon raw apple cider vinegar (with the "mother")

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon raw honey (optional, for taste)

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger or freshly grated ginger

A pinch of ground turmeric

A pinch of black pepper (to activate turmeric’s benefits)

Instructions:

Warm the water slightly until it’s comfortable to drink, but not hot enough to degrade the nutrients.

Add the apple cider vinegar and lemon juice to the warm water and stir well.

Mix in the honey, if using, along with ginger, turmeric, and black pepper.

Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are combined.

Drink slowly on an empty stomach, ideally first thing in the morning or 30 minutes before meals.

Serving and Storage Tips:

Serving: Best served warm for maximum soothing effect. Drink once daily, especially during times of digestive distress.

Storage: This tonic is best made fresh each time. However, you can prepare a larger batch (without honey) and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just warm and add honey before drinking.
