This homemade lemon-infused balm is a simple nighttime treatment designed to soothe tired legs and improve the appearance of varicose veins over time.

Ingredients:

1 medium organic lemon (zest and juice)

2 tablespoons olive oil or coconut oil (carrier oil)

1 tablespoon aloe vera gel

5 drops lemon essential oil (optional)

1 teaspoon witch hazel (optional, for added toning effect)

Preparation:

Zest the lemon and place the zest in a clean glass jar.

Add the olive or coconut oil to the jar, ensuring the zest is fully submerged.

Gently heat the mixture using a double boiler method (or place the jar in warm water) for 15–20 minutes to infuse the lemon into the oil.

Let the mixture cool, then strain out the zest.

Mix the lemon-infused oil with the aloe vera gel and optional ingredients (lemon essential oil and witch hazel).

Stir thoroughly until a smooth balm forms.

Serving and Storage Tips:

Store the balm in a small airtight container in a cool, dark place.

Use within 2 weeks if fresh ingredients are used, or up to a month if essential oils and preserved aloe vera gel are used.

Apply a small amount to affected areas before bed, gently massaging in an upward motion.
