Introduction
There’s something incredibly satisfying about walking into a room that’s gleaming clean, with surfaces that sparkle and a crisp, refreshing scent in the air. While commercial cleaners can get the job done, many are filled with harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances, and unnecessary packaging. That’s why we’re sharing a tried-and-true recipe for a natural, effective, and environmentally friendly all-purpose cleaning spray. It's quick to make, gentle on surfaces, and surprisingly powerful — perfect for those who love it when it’s spotless.
Ingredients
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup distilled water (filtered or boiled and cooled)
1 tablespoon baking soda
10–15 drops essential oil (lemon, lavender, tea tree, or eucalyptus work well)
Optional: 1 teaspoon castile soap (for extra cleaning power)
A clean spray bottle (preferably glass)
Preparation
In a bowl, slowly combine the vinegar and baking soda. Let the fizz settle.
Add the water and essential oil. Stir gently to mix.
If using castile soap, add it last and stir again.
Using a funnel, pour the mixture into your spray bottle.
Label the bottle and store it in a cool, dry place.
Note: Always shake gently before each use, as the contents can separate over time.
Serving and Storage Tips
Use on countertops, bathroom tiles, sinks, mirrors, and even stainless steel.
Avoid using on natural stone surfaces like marble or granite (vinegar can etch them).
For tougher grime, let the spray sit on the surface for 2–3 minutes before wiping.
Store in a cool, dark place and use within one month for best results.
